About the Dance

Sokkie is a South African dance, so named because young people often dance in their socks.

Combining a traveling basic with quick swing moves and dramatic dips and tricks, it is similar in concept to Texas Two Step.

Thanks to Devlyn Van Der Walt from South Africa for reaching out to us and encouraging us to learn and teach this fun dance.
