Waltz position throughout.


The Footwork

The Rutscher is a Waltz in SQQ timing to music in 2/4 time.

It can also be reversed, as illustrated below.


The Music

Music in 2/4 time.

Today, it's often danced to Polka music, but the Rutscher predates the Polka.
